JAKARTA - BYD continues to expand its presence in the international market, now the Chinese brand has officially launched five car models at once in Tunisia.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Wednesday, July 3, based on the company's official statement, BYD launched three pure electric vehicle models and two more models of Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).

On June 27th, BYD stranded five NEV models in Tunisia, three all-electric models BYD TANG, BYD DOLPHIN, and BYD ATTO 3alongside two hybrids, BYD KING and BYD SONG PLUS DM-i. This launch follows Tunisian President Kais Saied's reference to BYDs headquarters in... pic.twitter.com/V0NJJ1Gt0e

If in more detail, the three BEVs, namely BYD Tang, Dolphin and Atto 3, are different from Indonesia where BYD at the beginning of the year brought a Seal electric sedan to enliven the Indonesian automotive market.

Meanwhile, the PHEV version of the King model, known as Chaser 05 and Song Plus DM-i, also showed off for the Tunisian market.

"This move enriches the image of the BYD brand and product lineup in Tunisia, and is an important step for BYD to deepen its efforts there following Tunisian President Kais Saied's visit to his global headquarters in early June," the company said.

By opening a new chapter in Tunisia, in the future BYD will continue to introduce products, technology and encourage the transformation of vehicle electrification locally and throughout Africa.

"BYD will drive the transformation of vehicle electrification locally and across Africa," said general manager of BYD's sales division in the Middle East and African AD Huang.

Previously, BYD expanded its presence in several countries, including presenting Seals in Japan which will compete with Tesla Model 3. BYD has also reaped success in Indonesia and has begun distributing 1,000 Seal and Atto 3 model units some time ago.
