JAKARTA - Porsche is once again putting Singapore in the global spotlight by announcing the construction of the 11th Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in the world. This announcement came after the previous global launch of the new Tigers held at Gardens by the Bay and an international dealer launch event in the Marina Bay area.

PEC Singapore will be strategically located, only 20 minutes from Changi Airport and close to the upcoming MRT Aviation Park station along the Cross Island Line. This facility will add to the attractiveness of the Changi area and offer a variety of attractive activities for families as well as dynamic experiences for car enthusiasts, both local and Southeast Asia.

"Porsche is more than just a car; it's a promise for a unique brand and product experience. I'm happy we built the 11th similar facility in Singapore, an amazing and innovative city as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. We built this Singaporean PEC with the same principle, aiming to create an innovative and unforgettable experience with our sports car, and I hope this inspires and attracts the younger generation," said Member of the Executive Board of Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG, Detlev von Platen, in his official statement, Friday, May 17.

Porsche Asia Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Hannes Ruoff, also stressed the importance of Singapore as a strategic hub in Southeast Asia with enthusiasm for the project. "Following a series of successful events in Singapore, Porsche is delighted to celebrate this milestone by building the first permanent facility focused on driving in the country. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing a unique brand experience to customers and fans, as well as underlining Singapore's important role as a gateway to the growing Southeast Asian market," said Hannes Ruoff.

Porsche Experience Centers is a unique concept in the automotive industry that offers interesting experiences for fans and customers with sports car brands and their products. Currently, there are nine PECs in Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hockenheimering Germany, Franciacorta Italia, and since October 2021, in Tokyo. The latest PEC in Toronto was also announced in 2021 and is scheduled for completion in 2024.
