JAKARTA - The Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (PERIKLINDO) is committed to supporting the government's program towards Indonesia Zero Emission in 2060. "This year we are targeting transactions of more than IDR 400 billion because the exhibition will be more lively this time," said President Director Dyandra Promosindo, Daswar Marpaung at a PEVS 2024 press conference in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.
Daswar said that the use of electric vehicles in today's society is nothing new, but has become part of an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the number of electric motorcycles in Indonesia in 2023 was recorded at 62,409 units, compared to 2022 as many as 17,198 units.
"The increase in the use of electric motorcycles has reached 262 percent, which is very powerful. We are optimistic that the 2024 PEVS will achieve greater success considering the increasing interest of the community," he said.

According to Daswar, collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in the electric vehicle industry will increase the enthusiasm of the community.
"This collaboration will bring more brands to participate. The target is 40 thousand visitors so that they can increase investment and economic growth in Indonesia," he concluded.
