Morris Garage (MG) will market one of the electric vehicle models, namely ZS EV for the Indonesian market.

The car will accompany the MG4 EV in the environmentally friendly vehicle segment.

MG Motor Indonesia, as the sole agent of brand holder (ATPM), will announce the official prices of ZS EV and MG4 EV which are assembled locally in the country in the near future.

Arief Syarifudin, as Director of Marketing & PR of MG Motor Indonesia, said that the local assembly of these two models not only prioritizes high quality, but shows the company's commitment to providing sustainable mobility.

"Local production from New MG ZS EV and MG 4 EV is a reflection of our dedication to making a positive contribution to the Indonesian automotive industry and the local economy," said Arief in a statement received by VOI, Saturday, January 6.

Production of MG ZS EV and MG4 EV in Indonesia is part of the company's global strategy in dealing with high demand for electric vehicles and showing the role of brands in encouraging environmentally friendly ecosystems.

These two models will be produced at the SAIC Facility in Cikarang, West Java. The company claims the factory can have an annual production capability of 100,000 units.

This local car assembly applies to EVs and combustion engines (ICE) as well as opens opportunities for manufacturers to sell at a more affordable price thanks to tax leniency for production in Indonesia.
