World Of National Automotive Condolences, Goodbye Soebronto Laras

JAKARTA - The Indonesian automotive world is shrouded in grief, national automotive figure Soebronto Laras passed away, on Wednesday night, September 20, at Medistra Hospital Jakarta.

From the information received by VOI, before he died, the man who was known as the founder of the Indomobil Group and President Commissioner of Indomobil Sukses Internasional had problems with his lungs.

Until the end of his life, Soebronto Laras, who is close and friendly to journalists, was still President Commissioner of the Indomobil Group as well as Trustee 1 of the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) for the 2019-2025 period and was even seen attending the GIIAS 2023 exhibition last August.

Quoted from the Indomobil page, Soebronto Laras was born in 1943 and has joined the Indomobil Group since 1976 as President Director of PT lndomobil Utama.

In 1982, Soebronto Laras was appointed as President Director of the Company and in June 2002 was appointed as President Commissioner of the Company.

Soebronto Laras earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Paisley College in Scotland in 1969 and Diploma of Business Administration from Hendon College in London in 1972.

Soebronto Laras is the second child of R Moerdono of four children. Since childhood he is said to have an interest in the automotive world.
