UI Racing Team Will Depart To The Czech Republic To Raise Indonesia's Name At The Formula Student Czech Event

JAKARTA - University of Indonesia (UI) students who are members of the UI Racing Team will participate in the Formula Student Czech championship which will take place on August 7-12 2023 at Autodrom, Most, Czech, Czech.

Full support came from the Chairman of the MPR RI as well as the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) and Bambang Soesatyo and invited the Indonesian Embassy in Czech to help the UI Racing Team while there, because their presence would bring Indonesia's big name.

The UI Racing Team is a student research team that independently designs, produces, and races in formula cars. They left for Czech with about 16 personnel, with full dedication to assembling their own Formula racing vehicles. From the design process to manufacturing, everything was done by the student.

The car that will be used by the UI Racing Team uses a 650 CC Kawasaki Ninja ER6n motorcycle engine and a suspension of the study edition formula from ohlins. To support performance, they use aerodynamics from carbon fiber.

Bamsoet expressed his admiration for the extraordinary talents of the younger generation of Indonesia who were able to create formula-style racing vehicles. Their participation in Formula Student Czech deserves support from various parties, including support from the state through SOEs and the private sector as sponsors.

"If they are well supported, they will have extraordinary experience because they can participate in international championships so that in the future they can become racers, engineers, and racing industry players who are proud for Indonesia. Considering that in the event, not only racing championships but also other championships, such as business plans, cost reports, and design engineering competition," explained Bamsoet, after receiving the UI Racing Team, in Jakarta, Monday, July 23.

If you get good support, the UI Racing Team has the potential to gain extraordinary experience and play a role as a racer, engineer, and race industry actor who is proud for Indonesia. The Formula Student Czech event also includes other championships, such as business plans, cost report, and design engineering competition, thus providing opportunities for students to develop various skills.

Bamsoet emphasized that the UI Racing Team has achieved various previous proud achievements. Among them are the Top 5 of the Japan 2018 Formula, the 3rd Winner of the Endurance Event in the IIMS 2029 event, 1st Business Event Champion in the IIMS 2019 event, Top 5 Business Plan in the 2022 Formula Bharat and Top 6 Engineering Design in the 2022 Bharat Formula event.
