He also added that his party would continue the delivery and sale of the affected Toyota model to several countries.
"Based on the results of the re-test, and after consulting with relevant authorities, we have resumed deliveries of Toyota vehicles to Malaysia, Mexico and Ecuador," added Sato.
Sato also confirmed that the Toyota vehicles sent to Thailand and several Middle Eastern countries are safe for use and will consult with the relevant authorities. He also said the Chairman of Toyota, Akio Toyoda, would step in to explain this.
"Akio Toyoda visited Thailand to explain to our customers and stakeholders what happened and to convey that the vehicle is safe and that our entire group of companies is committed to working to prevent this type of error from happening," said Sato.
