YOGYAKARTA - Chaos between supporters has occurred again. Because Persib Bandung supporters forced their way to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) during the away match against PSIM Yogyakarta at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Sunday, August 24, 2025. The problem is, guest supporters have actually been banned from coming.

The Yogyakarta Regional Police have actually carried out securing the PSIM match against Persib which ended in a 1-1 draw. From the police statement, the match took place from 15.30-17.20 WIB.

Persib supporters are no longer allowed to come to Yogyakarta. More than that, they are also prohibited from entering the stadium. The ban was based on a decision from a coordination meeting (rakor) held at Wisma PSIM, Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The coordination meeting itself was attended by representatives of the Yogyakarta Police, Bantul Police, PSIM committee and ticket parts as well as supporters of Brajamusti and Maident. The meeting discussed security during the match.

"In the meeting, it was agreed that the ticketing quota for the match was limited to PSIM supporters. The consideration was that PSSI had not lifted the ban on the presence of guest team supporters in every Super League match," said Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Kombes Ihsan in a statement before the media in Yogyakarta, Monday, August 25, 2025.

"The Panpel has also conveyed to the Persib supporters to appeal to supporters not to attend the match," said the Head of Public Relations.

The prohibition for guest supporters is not only from the security side. PSSI has actually determined that the ban still applies to the 2025/2026 season competition.

It's just that the ban was violated by Persib supporters. They still come to Bantul and enter the stadium to watch the PSIM match against Persib.

The incident occurred outside the stadium at 21.00 WIB, precisely at Simpang Empat Pingit, Yogyakarta. The shock resulted in one person being injured and then receiving treatment at Bethesda Hospital.

"The bus supporter in Pingit grazed one of the PSIM supporters. The victim then received treatment at the hospital," he said.

After the incident, the two supporters immediately reconciled. Persib supporters then provided compensation of Rp. 2.5 million.

However, the incident in Pingit eventually triggered a reaction of PSIM supporters which caused friction incidents in several locations. Including the vandalism incident of a bus and Hiace which is an ersib support vehicle in Ngabean Parking, Yogyakarta.
