MotoGP via their official website confirmed Martin was absent in Thailand after suffering a broken bone in his left hand in an accident during training ahead of the season's opening.
"Jorge Martin will miss Thailand's MotoGP after an accident during training," reads a MotoGP statement.
The accident left Martin with a fracture in his left hand and a small fracture in his right leg and will undergo surgery at Barcelona on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
