Lucas Beraldo Officially Signed Paris Saint-Germain From Sao Paulo

JAKARTA - Lucas Beraldo, a 20-year-old centre-back from Brazilian club Sao Paulo has officially joined French Ligue 1 Club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). "Pary Saint-Germain is happy to welcome Lucas Berkarya's arrival to this club," PSG wrote on their official website on Monday. Mid- back, reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 1, signed PSG for a transfer value of 20 million euros (around Rp340 billion) and contracted for five years. Beraldo said he would be happy to be joining a club that has big ambitions. He will wear the number 35 shirt at his new club. "I am very happy to be joining Paris Saint-Germain. This is an important step in my career and will bring me forward to the next level. I can't wait to meet my new team-mate and make my debut," said Beraldo.

Beraldo joined Sao Paulo FC in 2020 and immediately became a key player for the club's U-17 team. He was then promoted to the senior team and finally made his professional debut in a 1-0 win over Peru Ayacucho FC team in the Copa Sudadespana on May 26, 2022. A few weeks later, on June 11, 2022, he made his debut for Brazil's U-18 national team with a 4-1 win over Ecuador.

He is considered a defender who has his composure, technique, and passing abilities. Beraldo then made 52 appearances for Sao Paolo throughout 2023. In September 2023, he also won his first career trophy, the first Brazilian Copa do title with Sao Paolo after defeating Flamengo in the final.
