This year's Indonesia Masters has allowed spectators to witness the performance of the world's top players directly from the stadium after last year without spectators when it took place in Bali.
However, several strict rules are still applied by the committee to ensure the health of everyone involved. At some points, the committee will prepare hand sanitizers for spectators who come.
Then for the committee, officials, athletes, coaches, and other competition equipment, the committee will conduct an antigen test. This step aims to maintain the health of athletes who are fighting on the field.
"This year is very good, COVID-19 in Indonesia has gone down so that Istora can welcome back the audience with the atmosphere that the Indonesian audience has been waiting for. There are a lot of things that we will do, of course, especially health issues", said Alex.
"We hope that this event can entertain the audience because all the top players from 25 countries are competing. Including Indonesia's top players", he continued.
The Indonesia Masters 2022 event will be the debut of several national players. Among them is Putri Kusuma Wardani who will start her step from the qualifying round and the doubles of Yeremia Erich Rambitan/Pramudya Kusumawardana.
In addition, this event is also the comeback of Indonesian men's doubles, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon. Previously, Marcus missed several tournaments this year because he had to undergo post-operative recovery.
