Motorcyclist Dies After Being Run Over By Garbage Truck In Fatmawati

JAKARTA - One motorcyclist died as a result of being involved in an accident on Fatmawati street, precisely in front of the Cilandak Horse Statue, South Jakarta.

Community Protection officer, Sutarman said, the accident occurred involving an orange garbage truck allegedly belonging to the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service with a motorbike. The two vehicles initially passed on the same route from Fatmawati to Blok M.

"Yes, the male victim went under the garbage truck. The orange garbage truck seems to belong to the Department," he told reporters, Monday, November 1.

According to him, the two of them were about to turn their vehicle back on Fatmawati street. However, the two were involved in an accident that killed the motorcyclist when he was run over by the truck.

"The victim was not saved and was immediately taken to the hospital," he said.

The case is still being handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Traffic Unit.
