Garuda Threats Of Bankruptcy Becomes The Reason For Prabowo's Renomination Of Defense Minister, Gerindra: To Save State Assets!

JAKARTA - Secretary-General (Sekjen) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani explained the goal of Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto to advance in the 2024 Presidential Election contestation. Everything is for the sake of saving the assets of the nation and state.

Muzani said the threat of bankruptcy for Garuda Indonesia was often feared by Prabowo. Muzani explained how difficult it is to maintain state assets and global competition is getting more dynamic and the challenges of capital are getting more real.

"So it is more relevant that the vision and mission that Prabowo has wanted so far is correct. We ask that including Gerindra Sumsel he will run in the 2024 presidential election. One of the aims is to save the nation's and state assets from problems like this," said Muzani as quoted by Antara, Monday 1 November.

According to him, the power that Gerindra wants to achieve in the 2024 election is a struggle whose goal is for the benefit and safety of the nation, including its assets.

According to Muzani, this is only possible if all elements in Gerindra prepare themselves for the struggle from now on.

Muzani said that all facilities built by the Jokowi government in the future must function so that the country's economy is more vibrant and the people are more prosperous.

"In our view, the one who has the ability to do that is Mr. Prabowo. It is relevant to what the people of South Sumatra want through the Gerindra Party DPD for Prabowo to run in 2024," he said.

In addition, he said Prabowo Subianto had advised all his party cadres to fight to defend and save the existence of Garuda Indonesia.

"Garuda's debt is predicted to be around Rp70 trillion and it is estimated that this proud company will go bankrupt. I received a message from Mr. Prabowo that Gerindra should not remain silent in the face of this threat," he said again.

According to him, he was entrusted with a message by Prabowo to do everything possible to save Garuda Indonesia so that the company remains safe from bankruptcy as a state company.

He said Garuda Indonesia is a company that was built along with the struggle of the Indonesian people, so that the company should not go bankrupt, because Garuda unites the territory of Indonesia.

"To avoid that, if deemed necessary, all members of the Gerindra legislature are ready to provide support to reduce debt so that Garuda can continue to exist as a state-owned company that unites the territory of the Republic of Indonesia," he also said.

The chairman of the Gerindra Party faction at the DPR RI assessed that Garuda Indonesia is one of the airlines that can be proud, unites the territory of Indonesia, has a history along with the struggle of the nation, and was built on the basis of mutual cooperation so that it must be saved.

Muzani emphasized that Gerindra would take all necessary measures for the Government to save Garuda Indonesia from the threat of bankruptcy.
