Good News From Tangerang, Cinemas And Parks Have Reopened

JAKARTA - The Tangerang City Government of Banten has allowed cinemas and public facilities such as thematic parks to reopen in line with the current implementation of PPKM level 2 in Tangerang City.

The Head of Protocol and Head of Buceu Gartina City in Tangerang on Wednesday said in accordance to Tangerang Mayor Circular Letter dated October 19, 2021, Number 180/4355-Bag-Hkm/2021 at number 20 point (e) explains that cinemas can operate with the condition that they must use the PeduliLindung application to screen all visitors and employees. Then the maximum capacity is 70 percent and only visitors with green and yellow categories in the Peduli Protect application who may enter. Visitors under the age of 12 are permitted to enter provided that they are accompanied by a parent.

Restaurants and cafes within the cinema area are allowed to accept meals on-site with a capacity of 50 percent and a meal time of 60 minutes. "In cinemas, they must also use UV-C light equipment in the air ducts and periodically spray disinfectants before and after the screening of the film," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 27.

Meanwhile, public facilities in number 23 are allowed to be opened with a maximum capacity of 25 percent and apply rules such as mandatory use of protective care applications. "Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter the park who have used the Care Protect application and are accompanied by their parents," he said.

Previously, the Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, said that Tangerang City continues to improve its level status in the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) from level 3 to level 2 based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 53 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Level 3 Restrictions on Community Activities, Level 2 and Level 1 Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Java and Bali.

He said the decline in this level was in line with the declining case data and the optimization of vaccination in the community carried out by the Health Service together with other institutions.

Nevertheless, the Mayor appealed to the public to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols and willing to follow vaccinations in order to accelerate the formation of communal immunity for the people of Tangerang City.

“Leveling down does not mean we can ignore it, even though we have been vaccinated, we must still obey the prokes. Together, we take care of ourselves, our families and the environment so that Tangerang City is free from the pandemic," he said.
