Victims Of Eviction In Cakung Confess That They Can't Get Spiritual Money

JAKARTA - The execution of a 1.5 hectare land by joint officers at Perjuangan Alley RT 14/RW 4, Penggilingan, Cakung, East Jakarta was protested by residents. The executions were carried out by a joint force consisting of the National Police, the TNI, the East Jakarta Satpol PP and the East Jakarta District Court with a total of 1,200 personnel.

A number of mothers were seen crying hysterically when their house was razed. They also admitted that they had not received any spiritual money.

"We need the spiritual money to move locations, to get a house, even though we rent it out," said Devi, one of the residents whose house was the target of execution to reporters, Thursday, October 21.

Devi added that the money for the spirituality was promised in the amount of Rp700,000 per meter. He considered, the nominal money is very useful for him.

"For the little people it's useful, for us people who don't have money it's always useful," said Devi.

Rosita, a resident whose house was also the target of the execution, also felt the same way. Rosita admitted that she was still confused about where to live after her house was flattened.

"Where do you want the money for the house contract to come from? Please think about it, be a human person," she complained.

Regarding spiritual money, they demanded payment of spiritual money to a person they called Haji Arya.

"I repeatedly begged Mr. Haji Arya, please give it but it was ignored," she said.

During the execution process, the joint apparatus deployed three large beko excavators. Slowly, one by one people's houses began to be leveled by heavy equipment.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Grand Commissioner Pol Erwin Kurniawan said there were 73 buildings, estimated to be inhabited by 50 families and a total of 221 people.

Furthermore, Erwin said, there is no compensation for residents who still insist on occupying the land to be executed.

"Nothing, those who have preceded or left the execution ground will receive spirituality facilitated by the applicant," said Erwin.
