100 Transjakarta Shelters Will Have Electronic Money Refill Machines To Buy Electricity Tokens

JAKARTA - Public Relations of PT Transjakarta, Nadia Disposanjoyo, said that they are preparing to install electronic money service machines at 100 Transjakarta bus stops. These machines will have a variety of services, from charging electronic money to purchasing electricity tokens.

"The installation of the engine unit began in mid-July and is expected to be completed by the end of August this year," Nadia said in a statement on Sunday, July 27.

This, said Nadia, was made to support the elimination of cash transactions between users and Transjakarta officers in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in bus stops.

"As is known, Transjakarta enforces a policy of eliminating refill counter services and card purchases using cash at all bus stop counters to prevent transmission of COVID-19," he said.

More specifically, a number of features that can be used on this machine, ranging from checking balances and topping up of electronic money cards, purchasing Jaklingko card starter packs, purchasing cellular phone credit, to purchasing electricity tokens.

"For starter pack purchases available are Jaklingko cards from 3 banks, namely BNI, Mandiri and BRI. Card purchases are worth IDR 30 thousand with a balance of IDR 10 thousand," said Nadia.

Later, Transjakarta users will use this machine service independently without any officers. For now, customers who wish to use this service are still allowed to use cash.

"Meanwhile, transactions using debit are in the process of being developed and will be proposed in the near future," he said.

To avoid transaction failure, customers are encouraged to use cash in good condition such as not torn, not wrinkled, glued money, and the like.

While waiting for the completion of the installation of machines at 100 bus stops, currently there are machines that can be used at a number of bus stops. The stops that have vending machines installed and can serve transactions are as follows.
