Police Find Drugs at TKP Murder of Transport Driver in Agam West Sumatra, Wife Also Undergoes Urine Test

JAKARTA - The Bukittinggi Police, West Sumatra Police found methamphetamine at the crime scene (TKP) for the murder of a man with the initials DY (28) in Obay Nagari Ladang Laweh, Agam.

This case made residents excited because the victim was found with a stab wound in the stomach on Saturday, October 16 last.

"We have found a bright spot on the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the murder, we will determine the suspect soon, plus this case also involves the Narcotics Satres because of the discovery of drugs at the location", said Bukittinggi Police Chief AKP Dody Prawiranegara in Bukittinggi, Antara, Tuesday, October 18.

He said the discovery of methamphetamine occurred when officers from the Banuhampu Police and the Bukittinggi Police Crime Unit conducted a crime scene at the house where the victim and his wife lived.

"We suspect someone close to the victim, of course, we will conduct an intensive examination by collecting strong evidence", said the police chief.

According to him, the police have also carried out an autopsy on the bodies of the victims who work as village transportation drivers in Bukittinggi and Agam.

"Indeed, from the autopsy results, several signs of violence were found on the victim's body which resulted in the death of the person concerned", said Dody.

The police chief has ordered the narcotics unit to follow up on the discovery of a package of methamphetamine in the victim's house.

"The Narcotics and Crime Investigation Unit are working side by side in this case. One package of crystal methamphetamine must be revealed about its ownership and network as well as what it has to do with the victim and his wife", said the Chief of Police.

He said several irregularities in the case had also been combined with the statements of witnesses who were summoned by the police investigators.

"Soon, we will expose it. Crime Unit has collected the cause of death through a series of investigations, including the absence of blood spots at the crime scene", he said again.

He added that currently the victim's wife with the initials AY is still being investigated by the Bukittinggi Crime Unit and Narkoba Police.

"We also conducted a urine test on the victim's wife, all the clues will direct the perpetrators of the murder and or the cause of death of the victim", said Dody.
