Police Arrest 2 Thugs Allegedly Stabbing A Man From Bojonegoro At Gunung Antang Prostitution Localization, Police Chief: Still In Development

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Grand Commissioner Pol Erwin Kurniawan said his party had arrested two perpetrators related to the death of Sugito (45), a man from Bojonegoro, Central Java at the Gunung Antang prostitution area, RT 05/09, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

"Two people have been arrested. The motive is still being investigated," said Grand Commissioner Pol Erwin when contacted by VOI, Sunday, October 17, afternoon.

Until now, the two men suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder are still under the development of a joint team of the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Matraman Police.

"Currently it is still being developed (other perpetrators). Tomorrow we will convey further developments. The case is handled by the Matraman Police and is backed up by the Central Jakarta Metro Police," said the Police Chief.

Previously, it was reported that a tattooed man was found dead horribly in the Gunung Antang prostitution area, RT 05/09, Palmeriam Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

The victim was found with stab wounds and cuts from sharp objects all over his body.

After being identified by police officers, a sharp weapon stab wound was found in the left abdomen, right upper shoulder, right waist, and bruised face.

It was later discovered that the victim was named Sugito (45) from Bojonegoro, Central Java. The victim died instantly after being beaten by a number of people from different groups.

According to information gathered, the victim was a guest at one of the dimly lit cafes in the Gunung Antang prostitution area. The victim came with 4 friends to the Gunung Antang localization in a drunken state on Sunday, October 17, early in the morning.

When they arrived at the Gunung Antang localization, in front of Y's dimly lit cafe, the victim and his group bumped into one of the other groups.

Then a verbal altercation ensued which led to a commotion and beatings. The victim had several wounds on his body. The victim died at the scene.

The case was then reported to the Matraman Police. The police who arrived at the scene of the incident immediately carried out the crime scene. From the results of the crime scene and identification of the bodies, found signs of violence and injuries from sharp weapons on the victim's body.

The victim's body was then taken to the RSCM for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the witnesses from the victim's colleagues were taken to the Matraman Police for further questioning.

When confirmed, East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Commissioner Indra Tarigan confirmed the incident. According to him, the case was handled by the Matraman Police.

"It's the same with the Matraman Police Chief. It is handled by the Matraman Police," he said briefly when contacted by VOI, Sunday, October 17, morning.
