Residents Are Enthusiastic To Take Selfies During The TNI Alutsista Exhibition At Monas

JAKARTA - Kopda Marines Afang said the exhibition of the main weapons system equipment (alutsista) which will be held in 2021 seeks to bring the community closer, as well as provide information regarding what vehicles are used by the National Armed Forces (TNI) in their duties.

"It's good to be able to go directly to serve the community. Some take a photo together, some ask for a photo. Everything is for the community," said Marine Corps Chief Afang to VOI, Tuesday, October 5.

The defense equipment exhibition was held around the Presidential Palace in Jakarta to commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the TNI which falls on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Based on the statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, the defense equipment has been placed on roads around the Presidential Palace in Jakarta since Sunday, October 3, 2021, namely at Medan Merdeka Utara Street and Medan Merdeka Barat Street.

Several types of defense equipment were displayed, namely 2 units of light tactical vehicles Sherpa Light Scout, 35 units of Anoa armored tactical vehicle, 8 units of Indonesia Light Strike Vehicle (ILSV) Armored Personnel Carrier, and 2 units of Rantis Bushmaster.

There are also 19 P6 ATAV units, 18 Mistral Missiles, 2 MPCV Mistral units, 4 MCP radar units, 2 BTR 4 units, 1 Alligator unit, 2 Turangga APC units, 4 RM 70 Vampire MLRS units along with 1 Rantis Tatrapan unit, 2 units Oerlikon Skyshield, 4 units of MLRS Astros, and 6 units of Armed Caesar 155 MM.

This defense equipment exhibition invites a number of Jabodetabek residents to take selfies with TNI soldiers in P6 ATAV vehicles at the main weapon system equipment exhibition (defense equipment).

From the series of vehicles on display along Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, residents were very enthusiastic about taking selfies in the P6 ATAV vehicle because the vehicle's door was open.

"Thank God I get to see the exhibition every year in the context of the TNI's birthday. Coincidentally, my son is a member so I am enthusiastic to see what vehicles are here," said Supardi, one of the residents of Jembatan Merah who came to the defense equipment exhibition in Jakarta.

The P6 ATAV vehicle is a light attack vehicle classified as a rantis or tactical vehicle by the TNI. In the exhibition, TNI soldiers who were on guard also participated in serving the residents.
