Save 3.9 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine, Two Civil Servants In Palu Prison Arrested At Official House

PALU - Two Civil Servants (PNS) of Class II-A Palu Correctional Institutions were arrested by the police for being found in possession of 3.9 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Palu Police Chief, AKBP Bayu Indra Wiguno, said that the two perpetrators were arrested on Saturday, October 2, at the official home of Palu Prison, Petobo Village, South Palu District, Palu City.

"Yes, they are secured at the official residence", explained Bayu in Palu, as reported by Antara, Monday, October 4.

During the raid, the perpetrators fought back, causing both of them to be rewarded with hot lead in the calf.

From the two perpetrators, said Bayu, the police confiscated some evidence in the form of dozens of medium-sized packages of methamphetamine and two large-sized packages of methamphetamine with a total weight of 3.9 kilograms.

According to both of them, Bayu said, the drugs were taken from someone in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.

"We suspect that they are the dealers. It is possible that he could be put in prison or to other areas in Palu City", said Bayu. 

The police, he said, is currently investigating the drug case involving the two Palu Prison officers because it is suspected that there are other perpetrators.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators can be charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics Abuse with a minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
