Who Is Viani Limardi's Replacement In The DKI DPRD? It's Still Long Because It Goes Through Many Stages

JAKARTA - DKI Regional Representative Council (DPRD) member Viani Limardi has officially been dismissed from party membership in PSI Party. PSI Central Executive Board (DPP) immediately sent a letter to the chairman of the DKI DPRD regarding this dismissal.

Later, Viani's position in the DPRD will be replaced by a new legislative member from the PSI faction. However, the change still has to go through a number of administrative processes.

Acting Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Augustinus explained, when the letter of dismissal has been received by the DPRD, the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, will send a letter to the Regional General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province.

"So when the letter is received, the chairman of the DPRD will write to the KPUD to ask for the next most votes from the PSI Party faction to sit as a member of the DKI DPRD for replacement," Prasetyo told VOI, Wednesday, September 29.

After that, Prasetyo will write to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for the interim replacement (PAW) of DPRD members. Then, Anies will write to the Minister of Home Affairs to issue a decree (SK) to change his board members.

Augustinus estimates, the process of dismissing DPRD members until the interim replacement (PAW) could take months. So, until now, Viani is still a member of the DPRD and a member of the PSI Party faction.

"Currently still working. His status is still a member of the council. As long as there is no decree from the Minister of Home Affairs, his status is still as a member of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD and a member of the PSI faction. If there is a decree, then it can be replaced," said Augustinus.

Previously, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPP Isyana Bagoes Oka said that his party would immediately send a letter to dismiss Viani Limardi as a member of the DKI DPRD from the PSI faction to the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD.

"We have taken the decision to dismiss Sis Viani from party membership. In accordance with applicable procedures, PSI will immediately send a letter to the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding this matter," said Isyana.

Isyana explained that PSI had gone through a long process before finally firing Viani. The process begins with the evaluation of the DKI Jakarta PSI Party Regional Leadership Council (DPW), the Directorate of Faction Development and PSI Legislative Members, the Fact Finding Team (TPF), and finally the PSI DPP.

“TPF has also officially summoned Sis Viani Limardi. In the session, the person concerned was given ample opportunity to submit answers and rebuttals to TPF's questions," said Isyana.

From the evaluation results, Isyana stated that Viani was no longer in line with the party's vision and mission and was proven to have violated the party's Statutes and bylaws (AD/ART), namely being obedient and loyal to the struggle line, AD/ART and party decisions.
