5 Village Head Officials In Probolinggo Are Being Examined, KPK Investigates Allegations Of Bribe Money To The Subdistrict Head

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) are investigating allegations of giving money to the related sub-district head to obtain a position as village head official in Probolinggo Regency, East Java. The investigation was carried out by examining five witnesses who were village head officials on Monday, September 27 yesterday.

This was carried out by investigators to investigate the alleged receipt of money by the Regent of Probolinggo, Puput Tantriana Sari, and her husband, Hasan Aminuddin.

"Located at the Probolinggo Police Station, the investigation team has examined a number of witnesses for the suspect PTS et al," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, September 28.

The regional head officials who were questioned as witnesses were the Acting Village Head of Jambangan Sri Sukarsih; Acting Head of Pakel Village Hendrik Wiyoko; Acting Head of Kedungsupit Village; Acting Head of Sebaung Village, Sutik Mediantoro; and Acting Village Head Sukodadi Yono Wiyanto.

"All witnesses were present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the alleged giving of a sum of money to the Camat related to this case to be handed over to HA as a representative of the PTS," said Ali.

In the bribery case of buying and selling positions, the KPK has named 22 people as suspects. They consist of 4 bribe recipients and 18 bribe givers.

Bribes were given so that they could serve as village head officials in the Probolinggo Regency Government. Each person is required to pay IDR 20 million and the village land tribute of IDR 5 million per hectare.

The four recipients were Probolinggo Regent Puput Tantriana Sari, House of Representatives (DPR) member Hasan Aminuddin, Krejengan sub-district head Doddy Kurniawan, and Paiton sub-district head Muhamad Ridwan.

While the 18 donors namely Sumanto, Ali Wafa, Mawardi, Mashudi, Maliha, Mohammad Bambang, Masruhen, Abdul Wafi, Kho'im, Akhmad Saifullah, Jaelani, Uhar, Nurul Hadi, Nuruh Huda, Hasan, Sahir, Sugito, and Syamsuddin as suspects giver. They are all state civil apparatus (ASN) in Probolinggo.
