TNI Task Force Explores Remote Villages To Distribute School Equipment To Papuan Children

JAKARTA - The TNI's concern for education in the Papua region was manifested through the action of the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Mechanized Infantry Battalion 512/QY, who walked around the village to distribute school equipment in the form of books and stationery to children in Sach Village and Kalilapar 2 Waris District, Keerom Regency, Papua.

"Caring for the world of education is the main key in providing educational welfare to children. By caring and going directly to the field to help the government, especially in the field of education, it will give children a sense of comfort in studying," said the Commander of the Task Force (Dansatgas) ) Pamtas RI-PNG Mechanical Battalion 512/QY Lt. Col. Inf. Taufik Hidayat in a statement received Saturday, September 25.

Dansatgas Lt. Col. Taufik said distributing books and stationery by going around the village and visiting schools is a routine activity carried out at all posts of the 512/QY Mechanized Infantry Battalion Task Force.

"Including the distribution of school equipment if there are children who come to the Post," he added.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the Kalilapar Post, Lt. Inf Wahyu Luhur Priyono, said that the distribution of books and stationery helped the village's children to study both at home and at school.

With activities like this, continued Lt. Wahyu, a harmonious relationship will be established between members of the Kalilapar Post and the children in the target villages.

"Children in Sach Village and Kalilapar 2 were very happy when they saw the arrival of postal members in their village, the children lined up in an orderly manner when postal members were seen distributing books and stationery," said Inf Lieutenant Wahyu Luhur Priyono.
