MS Finally Becomes A Suspect After Undergoing Examination At The Resort Police

JAKARTA - The police managed to arrest the perpetrator of the robbery of one of the Ministry's employees in Taman Sari, West Jakarta. From the results of the examination, the perpetrator with the initials MS turned out to be targeting his victim who was using a bicycle

West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Deputy Commissioner Niko Purba said MS was targeting cyclists because they often put their cellphones on the side or behind their waist.

"Indeed there is a lump or something, according to him, it's easier. He (the perpetrator) did it from behind, so the victim's vigilance is minimal. This makes it easier for the perpetrator to carry out (the mugging)," explained Niko Purba to reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

To the police, MS admitted that he came from Palembang, South Sumatra to Jakarta to pursue the crime of robbery. From the results of the investigation by West Jakarta Metro Police investigators, MS has carried out similar actions 6 times in Jakarta. MS includes specialist single-player snatchers.

"He admitted that he had committed six acts (of mugging)," said Niko Purba.

Previously, AA (initials) was snatched when he was crossing Jalan Gajah Mada, in front of the Jotun paint shop, Tamansari, West Jakarta on Saturday, September 18. MS was arrested at his home in the Palembang area, South Sumatra on Sunday, September 19.

AA's victim is known to be a staff member who works in one of the ministries.
