Vehicle Odd-Even System Will Apply On Jalan Kuta And Sanur

BADUNG - The odd-even system will be implemented on roads in the tourist area of Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. Odd-even will also apply in the area of Sanur, Denpasar, Bali.

Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Putu Jayan Danu Putra, said the odd-even system would be planned on September 25.

"Probably on the 25th, because of that there must be socialization. Then, there must also be a regulation from the provincial (government) that sets it as a regulation to be implemented. So it's not only the will of the police officers, but that's the rule later there will be a governor's circular issued, we will apply it now it's just socialization", said Inspector General Putu at Kuta Beach, Bali, Monday, September 20.

The Bali Police Chief said that the implementation of the even-odd system was a policy of the central government. However, it is adjusted to the conditions of each region.

"We are looking for a trial first in the province of Bali. Maybe we will apply it in the Kuta and Sanur areas", he added.

The odd-even system is applied on Saturdays and Sundays. The hours of operation are 06.30 WITA-09.30 WITA and 15.00 WITA-18.00 WITA.

"This is a socialization of the implementation first. We hope that with the implementation it will be controlled by people entering and leaving tourism areas which will be crowded", he explained.

In addition, the Bali Police Chief reminded tourists and tourist attraction managers to continue to comply with health protocols.

"(Tourists) have started to exist. But now there are local tourists and there are already crowds in Kuta. Hopefully, later the implementation of strict health protocols and sticking to the health procedures that come to tourism places are also appealed to the managers to install barcodes for Care to Protect together we know people who go in and out are safe. Not COVID-19", he said.
