Received Dismissal Decree, Disabled KPK Employee: It Feels Really Painful

JAKARTA - One of the employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who was deactivated and dismissed at the end of next September, Tata Khoiriyah admitted that he was disappointed with the decision taken by the KPK leadership. Tata is included in the list of employees who are dismissed after failing to pass the National Insight Test (TWK),

Tata admits that he is heartbroken because he will be dismissed, although the reason for his failure to pass the test has yet to be answered by the KPK.

This he conveyed through his Twitter account @tatakhoiriyah. Tata initially said that he received a short message from his superior, the Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the KPK, Yuyuk Andriati Iskak, to go to the office to pick up the letter.

"This afternoon, my superiors answered. Even though I expected it, reading this is really annoying," said Tata, who has permitted VOI to quote his tweet, Wednesday, September 15.

"A kind of heartbreak with the KPK", he added.

He said that so far it has never been clear why he and dozens of other KPK employees were declared ineligible (TMS) to be transferred as State Civil Apparatus (ASN). However, Tata was suddenly dismissed after being given a red label and could no longer be fostered.

"All this time I've been wondering, what's wrong with the TWK interview? Why do we have TMS status? Suddenly without explanation, we were labeled red and now dismissed", he said.

Disappointment also emerged from the inactive Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign of the KPK, Giri Suprapdiono. He even referred to September 30 as G30STWK because the day coincided with the commemoration of the September 30th Movement of the Indonesian Communist Party or G30S/PKI.

"Today we got a decree from the leadership of the KPK. They fired us! Effective September 30, 2021", Giri said on his Twitter account @girisuprapdiono.

"They want to rush ahead of the President as head of government", he added.

Giri said the employees who will be dismissed will continue to fight and take legal action until their last day of work.

He also highlighted that recent national holidays have always been injured by things related to TWK.

For information, on June 1 or coinciding with Pancasila's Birthday, the KPK inaugurated thousands of its employees who were declared to have passed the TWK. This inauguration deliberately chose the date to show the sense of nationalism of the anti-corruption commission employees.

"Gimmick commemorating the big day, which is always injured with rottenness wrapped in TWK. Hopefully, October 1 will be our day of victory", said Giri.

It was previously reported that 57 employees who have not passed the TWK will be dismissed at the end of September. This decision was taken because they cannot become State Civil Apparatus (ASN) according to the mandate of the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019.

It's just that their inability to become ASN is not due to laws and regulations such as Perkom KPK Number 1 of 2021 but because of the results of their assessment.

The KPK also ensures that employees have been given the same opportunity even if they have passed the age limit or have stopped being ASN before.

The dismissal was carried out based on government regulation (PP) number 63 of 2005 concerning the Human Resources Management System of the KPK Articles 18 and 19 paragraph (3) letter d with the reason that the dismissal was due to organizational demands.

For information, as many as 75 KPK employees were initially declared unsuccessful or did not meet the requirements in the TWK assessment process as a condition for employee status transfer. Of this number, 24 of them can be trained, although recently only 18 have participated in the training for State Defense and National Insight.

So that the total number of employees who are considered unable to be trained and do not want to carry out training because their request for clarity on the results of the TWK has not been given is 57 people.

Those who are no longer able to work at the KPK because they do not pass the TWK and are considered unable to be fostered through state defense education and national insight include senior KPK investigators Novel Baswedan and Ambarita Damanik, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo, KPK investigator Harun Al-Rasyid, and dozens of other names.
