NUNUKAN - Seven civil servant teachers in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan are threatened with dismissal. That's because they don't carry out their main tasks for no reason and there's been no news for months.

The head of the Nunukan Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Kaharuddin said that the seven teachers with civil servant status had been reported by their respective schools to be absent from school and had not carried out their duties for months.

Most of these teachers work in remote or remote areas but there are also in Nunukan District as the capital of Nunukan Regency.

These seven teachers have been sanctioned by their respective technical implementing units and now the case is being rolled out in the OPD and after that, it will be continued at the Nunukan BPKSDM.

"If the violations committed by the seven teachers are serious, they may be subject to dismissal", he said as reported by Antara, Wednesday, September 15.

The local Education and Culture Office wants to hand it over to the Nunukan BKPSDM immediately after the sanctions are given by each Technical implementation Unit head. However, he argues, it cannot be as direct as before being handled by his OPD (Regional Apparatus Organization).

However, he said, if the OPD concerned has given sanctions and the teacher concerned is not ready to change his behavior, the BKPSDM will handle the sanctions that will be given. "These seven teachers have been absent from school for months or have been dismissed for no good reason", said Kaharuddin.
