JAKARTA - The PeduliLindung application has succeeded in detecting 3,839 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 while doing activities in several public facilities in the past month.

"It was launched in just a month, 29 million have checked in with PeduliLindungi, but there are still 3,839 people who are in the black category", said Budi Gunadi Sadikin when attending a virtual meeting at the RDP Commission IX of the Indonesia House of Representatives, Antara, Monday, September 13.

The PeduliLindung application divides the criteria for a visitor in public facilities into four color indicators. Black indicates that the visitor is positive for COVID-19 or has close contact with the patient.

The next indicator is red which indicates a visitor has not received the COVID-19 vaccine.

The yellow color indicates that the visitor has received one vaccine or has the status of a survivor for less than three months and there is no data that the person concerned is positive and in close contact.

Finally, the green indicator indicates that a person has received two doses of the vaccine and there has been no positive test result or close contact with a COVID-19 patient.

The visitor has also undergone a rapid PCR test which is valid for 2x24 hours with negative results or underwent a rapid antigen test 1x24 hours with negative results.

"Black means positive for COVID-19, but still traveling", he said.

Budi said the application, managed by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, recorded that 3,000 people were positive when they entered the mall, 43 others were detected at the airport, 63 train passengers and 55 others entered the restaurant.

"These people are those who have been identified as positive for COVID-19 who should stay at home or be isolated centrally. That way, we can track them and make sure we pick them up immediately and we quarantine them", he said.

Budi said the PeduliLindung application was built by connecting the Ministry of Health's big data system called the New All Record (NAR) containing records of people's data that underwent rapid PCR and antigen testing at health service facilities in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

"We also make sure that all the vaccines that are injected must be entered into the Cares for Protection Application and we understand that there are some who are injected but do not receive the certificate. Now we have provided a special call center as well as a special website, a special email. That can be fixed", he said.
