Police Are Investigating The Death Of Mrs. X Who Were Found Undressed In Trench

SUMUT – The discovery of the body of an unidentified woman in a ditch on Jalan Proklamasi, 10, Stabat District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra caused a commotion among local residents. Until now, members of the Langkat Police along with the North Sumatra Police are currently investigating the case.

When confirmed, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Langkat Police AKP Said Husein confirmed the discovery of the body. Said said the female body was estimated to be 38 years old. The witness who first discovered it was Sofian, a local resident.

Based on the testimony of witnesses, there was a foul smell when passing through the area. He also looked for the source of the smell and found the woman's body.

"The body was found in a prone position and not wearing clothes", he explained.

Then, said AKP Said, the witness reported his findings to the head of the local hamlet (kadus) which was then forwarded to the police. From the results of a temporary examination conducted by the Inafis team, it is suspected that the body had been submerged in the ditch for approximately three days.

"So far, this unidentified corpse has no signs of violence on its body. However, the condition of the corpse has a foul smell", he said.

Then, officers assisted by local residents evacuated the body and took it to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan.

"Currently Mrs. X's body will be referred to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan for examination", he concluded.
