There Will Be A Crowd Free Night To Suppress Crowds In Jakarta, What Is The Scheme?

JAKARTA - A total of 580 joint personnel of the National Armed Force (TNI), National Police (Polri), and Civil service police (Satpol PP) held large-scale patrols to disperse crowds and enforce health protocols in the DKI Jakarta area. The operation was carried out on Saturday, September 11, in the early hours of the morning.

Director of Traffic Service (Dirlantas) Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said, areas throughout Jakarta were suspected of still having health protocol violations and so on.

"First, of course, we appeal to compliance with the health procedures. We involve Satpol PP who will immediately take action against public places that still cause crowds", he said.

Sambodo hopes that there will be community participation in terms of providing information on violations.

"We expect information from the public which places are still carrying out operational activities beyond the time limit that have been determined. So that we can carry out the dissolution and enforcement of the health protocols", he said.

Dirlantas will also carry out Crowd Free Night (CFN) or suppress community mobility to prevent crowds in four areas, namely the Kemang area, SCBD, Asia Africa, and Sudirman-Thamrin.

"For the CFN itself, we will divide it into two stages. The first stage at 22.00 p.m. - 00.00 a.m. local time which is currently taking place is loose insulation. This means that people can still pass, which is important to comply with the health procedures. No crowds, no crowds, and no noisy exhaust", he said.

Later, until 00.00 a.m., he continued, his party will carry out a total closure in the four areas and except for those who pass by only residents, then emergency TNI, Polri, ambulance, firefighters, and so on.

"As well as hotel residents if there is a hotel there", he said.
