When the flood hit, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of North Gorontalo Regency reported that the flood had submerged with water levels reaching 1.5 to 2 meters. Abdul Muhari said, as many as 531 residents fled to safer places.

Currently, it is reported that the flood has gradually receded. The displaced residents have returned to their homes but are still wary of the potential for further flooding.

"The temporary data of residents who are still displaced are 54 families or 200 people. Some residents choose to evacuate to the houses of relatives who are not affected", said Abdul Muhari.
