Yahya Waloni Is Being Treated Due Heart Swelling, The National Police Headquarters Makes Sure To Investigate Other Parties In Blasphemy Cases

JAKARTA - The police are still investigating the alleged blasphemy case with the suspect Yahya Waloni. One of them is about the possible involvement of other parties in the case.

The alleged involvement of other parties due to Yahya's lecture which allegedly contained blasphemy was uploaded through Tri Datu's Youtube account. Still, it is not known whether the account belongs to the suspect or someone else.

"We are still investigating whether the account belongs to the person concerned (Yahya Waloni) or someone else", said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, when confirmed, Wednesday, September 1.

So far, investigators have not been able to explore the alleged involvement of other parties. Because Yahya Waloni is still undergoing medical treatment for the swelling of the heart he is suffering from.

Later, if Yahya has been handed back by the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, investigators will immediately examine him. This includes the ownership of the account.

"The person in question is still being treated at the hospital", said Ramadhan.

Yahya Waloni was arrested at his residence in Permata Housing, Cluster Dragon, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday, August 26.

The arrest of Yahya was based on the Police Report Number LP/B/0287/IV/2021/BARESKRIM dated 27 April 2021. In the report, Yahya was considered to have insulted the Bible in his lecture.

Currently, Yahya has also been named a suspect in the alleged blasphemy or blasphemy case.
