Jokowi Extends PPKM Java Bali: Now Malang Raya And Solo Raya Enter Level 3

President Jokowi announces extension of PPKM Java Bali (Presidential Secretariat Youtube)

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo decided to extend PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Java-Bali and outside Java-Bali islands. There are additional PPKM level 3 areas in Java-Bali.

Jokowi in his statement said that the COVID-19 positivity rate in the last 7 days had continued to decline. Hospital bed occupancy has also improved with the national average BOR of around 27 percent.

"For this reason, the government has decided that from August 31 to September 6, 2021, the Java-Bali region will have additional level 3 agglomerations, namely Malang Raya and Solo Raya", Jokowi said in a statement broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat Youtube, Monday, August 30.

"So the level 3 regions in this week's PPKM, the agglomeration of Jabodetabek, Greater Bandung, Greater Surabaya, Greater Malang, Solo Raya. Semarang Raya has dropped to level two", Jokowi continued.

Overall in Java-Bali namely:

- PPKM level 4 from 51 districts/cities to 25 districts/cities

- PPKM level 3 from 67 regencies/cities to 76 regencies/cities

- PPKM level 2 from 10 districts/cities to 27 districts/cities
