15 Million Sinovac And AstraZeneca Vaccines Are Coming Again Today

JAKARTA - Indonesia received the arrival of around 15 million vaccine brands Sinovac from China and AstraZeneca from the UK on Monday, August 30. The vaccine arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport using a special container.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy said the details of the vaccines that came today were 1.086.000 doses of vaccine under the AstraZeneca brand, 5 million doses of vaccine for Sinovac, and 9.2 million bulk doses of Sinovac vaccine.

"The presence of this vaccine is the 43rd, 44th, and 45th stage of arrival and there will be more vaccines coming. All of this is clear evidence that the government is working hard to bring in a COVID-19 vaccine to meet the national vaccination needs", said Muhadjir in a virtual press conference, Monday, August 30.

As of August 29, 2021, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination was 29.60 percent, or 61.654.676 people who had been vaccinated with the first dose. Meanwhile, the second dose of vaccination was 16.73 percent or 34.858.000 people.

Muhadjir invited all parties, be it social organizations, religious leaders and community leaders, the role of the private sector, business actors, non-governmental organizations, and volunteers to continue to work hand in hand for the success of the national vaccination.

"The government invites the whole community to immediately participate in the success of this vaccination program, by immediately coming to the location of the vaccination location. Don't choose a vaccine because all vaccines are the same and efficacious and God willing, all of them are also halal", said Muhadjir.

Furthermore, Muhadjir said that in the future, people will live side by side with COVID-19. Therefore, he asked the community to take advantage of various abilities to remain productive during the pandemic.

"We need to continue to strengthen cooperation, all elements of the nation by implementing health protocols and utilizing all our capabilities, including digital technology to accelerate recovery in the health sector, recovery in the economy, especially in the productivity sector, and to end this pandemic", he concluded.
