Urges To Arrest Youtuber Muhammad Kece Appears, Police: Calm Down, Process Is Running

JAKARTA - The National Police confirmed that the investigation into the alleged blasphemy case against Islam by YouTuber Muhammad Kece was already underway. Criminal proceedings are carried out in accordance with the rules.

The statement was made in response to the emergence of the hashtag #SegeraTangkapMkece on social media, Twitter.

"The National Police will proceed according to existing regulations. Everything is being processed," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to VOI, Tuesday, August 24.

In the process, the investigative team is still collecting evidence. Then, at the next stage, examine the reporting party and witnesses.

"So far, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is still in the process of collecting evidence. Later, when it has just gone up to the examination stage, for example, reporters and witnesses," said Ramadhan.

Therefore, Ramadan appeals to the public to remain calm, not to create unnecessary turmoil. Because this problem has been handled properly.
