Newly Built, IDR 12 Billion Bridge In Southwest Aceh Has Cracked

JAKARTA - The Special Committee Team (Pansus) of the Aceh DPR (DPRA) found that a bridge that was built with a budget of Rp. 12 billion was carried out unprofessionally in the Southwest Aceh (Abdya) Regency, which had just been built and was in a cracked condition.

"The abutment (head of the bridge, ed) is in a cracked condition, and the oprit is down, we really regret this condition, the budget for that size was carried out unprofessionally," said Chairman of the Special Committee for LHP BPK Dapil 9 DPRA, Irpannusir, in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara. According to Irpannusir, regarding the damage to the bridge which was built with the 2020 APBA funds, partners are asked to repair it immediately. However, it's not just sticking cement to cover the cracks, or just piling up the part of the oprite that has started to fall.

"We are worried that if it is not repaired, if it is hit by big water, the bridge will collapse, especially in the next few months it is estimated that the intensity of rain will increase, automatically the river water discharge will also be heavy. We really did not expect this," he said. In addition, Irpannusir said the special committee also found three student practice tools in one of the vocational high schools (vocational high schools) in Susoh sub-district, Abdya that were not functioning.

In fact, according to Irpannusir again, the school has conveyed to procurement partners to immediately repair it, but it was ignored. Because of that, his party asked for an immediate fix considering the students had started learning face-to-face.

"If we don't fix it immediately, of course we ask the Inspectorate to audit the procurement work," he also said.

Irpannusir also said that the DPRA Special Committee also found positive things, such as the right distribution of rice seeds and fertilizers, so that the farming community in the Pawoh Village area, Susoh Abdya District, felt helped.

"Residents thank the provincial government for the assistance, as well as hope that every year they provide seeds and fertilizers for farmers," said Irpannusir.
