BANDA ACEH - Five residents of Berawang Dewal Village, Jagong Jeget District, Central Aceh Regency, who were reported lost in the forest, were finally found by a joint SAR team.

"Alhamdulillah, our team, assisted by Military District Command personnel, Jagong Jeget Police, Tagana, and the community, managed to find the five missing residents", said Head of the Central Aceh SAR Unit, Muhammad Amri, Tuesday, August 10.

He explained that the search for the five residents had been carried out since Thursday, August 5. They were found on Monday, August 9th.

The joint SAR team found the lost victims precisely in the upstream area of Mount Wih Tangak at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level.

According to him, because it was already dark, the team and the victims were still spending the night in the forest location and would only be traveling home today.

Previously, it was reported that five residents of Berawang Dewal Village, Jagong Jeget Subdistrict, Central Aceh Regency, had disappeared in the forest since saying goodbye to their respective families on July 27.
