JAKARTA - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) together with the General Chairman of the National Board of Trustees of Karang Taruna Budisatrio Djiwandono attended the opening of the Training of Trainers (ToT) and retreat of the National Board of Trustees of Karang Taruna (PNKT).

The activity which will last until August 2 is an event to strengthen capacity, align the vision of the organization, and build the solidity of managers from the central to regional levels.

The activity will also be filled with social service by handing over school supplies to students at SDN Karangtengah 5, Babakan Madang District, as well as distributing clean water to residents around the location.

Panitia Chairman Agus Maimun said the retreat was designed to align the steps and direction of all Karang Taruna managers.

In addition to briefing on the organization, participants will also participate in outbound as part of strengthening the unity among managers.

"The end of this retreat is how all the managers unite so that they have the same movement and steps in running the organization," said Agus, quoted by Antara.

The retreat was attended by 107 national managers and 18 provincial Karang Taruna managers.

For three days, participants received material from a number of cross-ministerial speakers to strengthen leadership and organizational management capacity.

Gus Ipul who was present at the opening of the activity appreciated the steps taken by the National Management of Karang Taruna in building a systematic organizational consolidation.

According to him, the retreat and Training of Trainers are strategic steps to strengthen organizational leadership to the regions.

"This retreat or Training of Trainers activity will later become commanders, compasses, and leaders of the consolidation movement nationally," said Gus Ipul.

Meanwhile, the General Chairman of the National Board of Trustees of Karang Taruna Budisatrio Djiwandono said that the retreat was part of efforts to strengthen the quality of Karang Taruna human resources.

He hopes that all participants will bring a new spirit to develop organizations and increase their dedication to the community in their respective areas.
