The Lampung Tanggamus Earthquake Felt Strong, Residents Had Time To Run Outside The House

BANDAR LAMPUNG - Several residents of Bandar Lampung City had run out of their homes when they were shocked by the shock of an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung.

The 5.5 magnitude earthquake was precisely located 106 km southwest of Tanggamus on Friday, 18:08 WIB.

According to the Head of the North Lampung BMKG (Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency) Station, Anton Sugiharto, this earthquake did not have the potential for a tsunami.

Several residents of Bandar Lampung claimed to feel the tremors of the earthquake were quite strong.

"We ran out of the house because of the strong earthquake", said Sundari, a resident of Kemiling, Bandarlampung, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 6.

The same thing was conveyed by residents of Tanjungkarang Pusat Bandarlampung who felt the tremors of the earthquake were quite strong.

"The shaking was strong enough that we went out of the house afraid that something bad would happen", said Indaru, a resident of Durian Payung Central Tanjungkarang.

Until this news was published, there had been no reports of damage to buildings or victims of the earthquake that rocked the Tanggamus Regency.
