JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has postponed the submission of recommendations on reports of alleged violations in the National Insight Test (TWK) for employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This decision was taken after the discovery of strong new facts.

This institution actually intends to submit recommendations in early August. It's just that, because there are new findings they have to re-compile the construction of the alleged violation of human rights.

"Indeed, Komnas HAM actually started the process of writing the final report last week. However, in the process of writing it, we got new facts that are significant for the construction of events that are being built," Komnas HAM Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation Choirul Anam told reporters on Monday, August 2nd.

Thus, the existing construction was repaired again by incorporating the new findings. "If it's not included, it's a shame because it's a finding from a process and a form of accountability for Komnas HAM," said Anam.

"In terms of substance, if this is not included, yes, Komnas HAM does not have something very strong. Therefore, we consider this new fact as something that can indeed be postponed," he added.

Furthermore, Anam said this new fact has been clarified by the relevant parties and is a solid truth. However, he did not want to elaborate further on the findings because they would all be published in the final report.

Anam only hopes that the preparation of this report can be completed within this week. In fact, if possible next week the results can already be announced to the public.

Moreover, the publication of reports of alleged violations of the employee status transfer process is not only awaited by the public but is also the responsibility of Komnas HAM.

"If it goes well, this week it will be finished, next week we can announce it. Yes, we all hope that we are all healthy in the COVID-19 condition," he said.

Previously reported, as many as 75 KPK employees who were declared not to have passed the TWK as a condition for changing their employee status to State Civil Apparatus reported their fate to a number of institutions such as Komnas HAM and the Indonesian Ombudsman. This report was made because they suspected that there was a violation that occurred in the test.

Meanwhile, in the process of clarifying this allegation, Komnas HAM has summoned a number of parties, including the entire KPK leadership, which in the end was represented by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron. In addition, the KPK also summoned the Head of the State Personnel Agency (BKN) as the executor of the TWK assessment.
