Sad News From West Pasaman, West Sumatra, Six People Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) increased by 70 people and six people were declared dead from SARS-Cov-2.

"With the increase in cases, the total so far has reached 1,696 people, 1,087 recovered, 96 people died and 512 people were quarantined or treated," said West Pasaman COVID-19 Spokesperson Gina Alecia at Simpang Empat, reported by Antara, Sunday, August 1.

He said the six people who died were a woman with the initials R (54), a resident of Jorong Pigogah, Sungai Beremas District, who died while being treated at the West Pasaman Hospital.

Then the man with the initials UN (63) is a resident of Jambak Line VI Timur Alin, Luhak Nan Duo District, the male initial N (80) is a resident of Jorong Padang Durian Hijau, Pasaman District. Both died under treatment in the isolation room of the West Pasaman Hospital.

Furthermore, the man initials D (52) a resident of Jorong Sarik, Luhak Nan Duo district died at home, the man initials M (81 years old) a resident of Ophir Blok F, Luhak Nan Duo District, and the woman initial G (62) a resident of Jorong Sidodadi District Kinali. Both died while undergoing isolation in the ICU of the West Pasaman Hospital.

"The six people were buried according to health protocols to anticipate its spread," he said.

Meanwhile, another 64 people were positive COVID-19 patients who were obtained from swab tests at the Sukamenanti Health Center, Simpang Empat Health Center, Lembah Binuang Health Center, and Talu Health Center.

Then swab tests at the West Pasaman Hospital, Ibnu Sina Hospital Simpang Empat, and at the Eco Medical Laboratory at Simpang Empat.

"Currently, fast steps for the tracking or tracing process have been carried out to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 in West Pasaman," he said.

He invited all people to improve health protocols by wearing the right masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobilization.
