Lampung Police Again Arrest Two People Related To Antigen Test Extortion Tes

JAKARTA - The South Lampung Police have again arrested a suspect in the illegal collection of rapid antigen tests at Bakauheni Port, Lampung.

"The suspects we arrested have the initials W (37) and D (29)", said South Lampung Police Chief, AKBP Edwin, when confirmed from Bandar Lampung, reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 28.

He explained that the arrests of the two suspects began when members disguised themselves as passengers who were about to cross to Merak Harbor, Banten.

The two passengers, who were known to be members of the police, later also admitted that they did not have a rapid antigen test letter.

"On July 23, the members disguised themselves, then the next day around 04.00 WIB the members managed to arrest the two suspects", he said.

Edwin added that from the arrest of the two suspects, further development is now being carried out.

During the arrest, members also secured evidence of four sheets of suspected fake antigen rapid test letters issued by the Budhi Pratama Clinic in Bandarlampung, sixteen blank rapid antigen test forms, IDR 800 thousand in cash, two mobile phones, and a set of computers.

Edwin explained that suspect W was subject to Article 368, Article 14 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 4 of 1984 concerning infectious disease outbreaks with a threat of nine years in prison.

Meanwhile, suspect D is subject to Article 263 of the Criminal Code and Article 266, Article 268 paragraph (2) and Article 14 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 4 of 1984 concerning infectious disease outbreaks with a threat of seven years imprisonment.

Previously, the police also arrested illegal rapid test antigens in Bakauheni, South Lampung, which involved Civil Servants personnel.
