COVID-19 Update As Of July 27: 45.203 New Cases , Deaths Increase By 2.069 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 270.434 specimens were examined with the result that there were 45.203 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3.239.936 people and 556.281 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, July 27.

Today's recovered cases increased by 47.128 cases, bringing the total to 2.596.820 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2.069 people and a total of 86.835 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 8.589 cases and a total of 582.026 cases. Followed by East Java which has 6.337 new cases with a total of 286.597 cases. Central Java has 5.187 new cases and a total of 363.288 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 3.567 new cases and a total of 798.502 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 14.575 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 9.340 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 4.956 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 4.684 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 25.245.491.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 35.60 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 281.492 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 45.278.549 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 18.666.343 people have received the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
