Mayor Bobby Reportedly Positive For COVID-9, Medan Health Office: He Is Healthy, Just Avoiding Contact

JAKARTA - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution is reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. This news was immediately denied. Kahiyang Ayu's husband is currently said to be in good condition.

"It's not true," said the Acting Head of the Medan City Health Office, Syamsul Arifin, to reporters in Medan City, North Sumatra, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 21.

However, he confirmed that Mayor Bobby Nasution is currently undergoing self-isolation.

"It's just that he's self-isolating as much as possible. On Monday, July 19, we were with us at the office, while following the directions given by President Joko Widodo regarding the virtual handling of COVID-19 from the Command Center room of the Medan Mayor's Office," he said.

According to him, the mayor is self-isolating to anticipate being exposed to COVID-19, because in recent days many activities have been in direct contact with the public or in crowded places.

However, Syamsul Arifin said that Bobby Nasution's condition is currently in good health.
