Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Aka Cikampek Elevated Toll Road Closed July 16-22

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC), a business unit of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, will temporarily close the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road during the Eid al-Adha holiday starting Friday, July 16 at 00.00 western Indonesia time until Thursday, July 22 at 24.00 western Indonesia time.

The flyover will resume normal operation on July 23, 2021, at 00.01 western Indonesia time.

JJC President Director George IMP Manurung in his official statement in Jakarta, Thursday, stated that the closure of the MBZ Elevated Toll Road was carried out to support emergency PPKM in the context of preventing the spread of COVID-19 transmission.

It is hoped that the closure of this road can control the rate of community mobility in and out of Jabodetabek during the Eid al-Adha 1442 Hijriah holiday.

"We will close all entry and exit access, both to Cikampek and to Jakarta. For travelers in the essential and critical sectors excluded categories during this emergency PPKM period, we urge them to use the lower Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to be able to continue traveling to and from Cikampek," said George, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 15.

The closure is in accordance with the Letter of the Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Number: BM.07.02-P/595 dated July 15, 2021, and the Letter of the Traffic Corps of the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number: B/211/VII/OPS.1.1/2021 / Korlantas dated July 14, 2021, regarding Application for Closure of Elevated Elevated Toll Road.

Vehicle entry access to the MBZ Flyover which is closed is vehicle access from Cawang to Cikampek, from Jatiasih to Cikampek (Km 45A JORR Toll Road Section E), from Rorotan direction to Cikampek (Km 46B JORR Toll Road Section E), and from Km 48B of the lower Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to Jakarta.

To ensure that the public receives this information, JJC conducts socialization through social media, banners, variable message signs (VMS) to information through mass media.

Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the closure.

Road users are advised to support this emergency PPKM by staying at home and complying with health protocols, namely using masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, reducing mobility, and avoiding eating together.
