PMI Surakarta Mourns, Best Health Worker Died With 7-Month-Old Baby Due To COVID-19

Central Java - Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Surakarta City, Central Java is grieving after the loss of one of its best health workers, Risma Dwi Annisa.

Risma died at the age of 25 with her 7-month-old baby due to exposure to COVID-19. Every day, Risma works in the blood donation unit.

Head of PMI Surkarta Blood Donor Unit, doctor Kunti Dewi Saraswati, as quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12, said that Risma is one of the best officers in blood donation service unit at PMI Surakarta City.

During her lifetime, Risma was a health worker who was highly dedicated, passionate about work, and very disciplined in carrying out health protocols while on duty.

This incident, according to Kunti Dewi, made PMI Surakarta be more disciplined and limit the number of visitors. Blood donation services and blood requests are still served for 24 hours, for convalescent plasma the time is limited to 21.00 WIB.

PMI Surakarta Chief Executive Officer, Sumartono Hadinoto, said that two members of PMI Surakarta's health workers had died from COVID-19.

Risma died fighting against COVID-19 with a 7-month-old baby. Her party, representing the entire extended family of PMI Surakarta, is deeply saddened by it.

The number of health workers at PMI Surakarta who are currently undergoing independent isolation is 20 people. After the incident, PMI Surakarta will more routinely carry out antigen swab tests to anticipate earlier.

His party paid their last respects to Risma's body. Risma's body was buried according to the COVID-19 protocol in Bulu District, Sukoharjo Regency, at around 11.00 WIB.
