Terrorism Convicts In Bandarlampung Are Free, Kalapas: Hope They Play An Active Role In Society

JAKARTA - The convict of the crime of terrorism, Burhanudin, was freed purely after serving a sentence of three years and six months at the Rajabasa Class I Prison, Bandarlampung,

"One of our convicts in the terrorism case, who is a resident of Bandar Lampung, today has been completely free," said Kalapas Rajabasa Maizar in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 12.

He explained that apart from Burhanudin, there was one other prisoner who was also released at the same time, but the prisoner was a narcotics convict.

"So today there are two free convicts, one for terrorism and one for narcotics," he said.

Maizar added that the terrorism convicts themselves were picked up by the Densus, Intelligence, and Kodim parties. He was taken for guidance and coaching before being sent home.

"We have handed it over to the Densus, Intel, and Kodim and have been picked up," he said.

He hopes for ex-terrorism convicts who have been released to return to the Republic of Indonesia and do not repeat past violations of the law.

"Hopefully his return will be able to play an active role in society and build his own country," he said.

Burhanudin alias Moh Fahri alias Fatih alias Gozi, is a terrorism convict. He was involved in training in Sulawesi.

Burhanudin was arrested along with one other inmate, Moh Yani alias Pak E-Ali Bassa alias Toni Harun alias Moh Ali Bassa who was involved in the Poso riots.
