Tighten PPKM, Bobby Nasution Requires Dine In Restaurant Until 8 PM

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution has tightened the implementation of Micro-Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in his area. This rule is in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In tightening the implementation of this micro PPKM, Bobby Nasution again banned nightclubs from operating. Previously, nightclubs were allowed to open until 21.00 WIB.

As for restaurants, President Jokowi's son-in-law said the rules are to serve dine-in until 20.00 WIB.

"Take away (take it home) please. Places to eat can only take away (after 8 pm)", said Bobby Nasution, Wednesday, June 23.

Although restaurants are allowed to serve customers on a takeaway basis, Bobby Nasution reminded business actors to continue to apply health protocols.

"If there is a queue, there should be no crowds, that's the essence", he said.

Currently, Bobby Nasution is preparing to implement regulations for tightening Micro PPKM which takes effect today, June 23 to July 5. 

"I signed the circular today", he said.

Based on data from the Medan City COVID-19 Task Force, the number of confirmed positive patients on Tuesday, June 22, reached 17,570 people, with a cure rate of 16,004 people.
