Neson Murib, The Man Who Supplied Firearms To The Puncak Jaya Armed Criminal Group Gets Arrested, IDR 370 Million Worth Of Money Was Also Confiscated

JAKARTA - The Nemangkawi Operation Law Enforcement Task Force arrested one perpetrator who sold firearms and ammunition to the Puncak Jaya Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

"The perpetrator named Ratius Murib alias Neson Murib is suspected of being a network of firearms and ammunition sellers to the KKB in Puncak Jaya", said Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes M. Iqbal Al-Qudusy in a written statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 15.

According to Iqbal, Neson Murib is known to have carried out a number of transactions reaching billions of rupiah related to the sale and purchase of firearms and ammunition.

"The total that was sent and received was IDR 1.39 billion", said Iqbal.

Iqbal said Neson Murib was arrested by members of the Mulia Airport KP3 of Puncak Jaya Police while in transit at Mulia Airport, Puncak Jaya Regency to Timika Regency.

According to him, Neson was caught with IDR 370 million in cash when he was arrested by officers. It is suspected that the funds were used to buy firearms from someone.

Iqbal emphasized that until now the ranks of law enforcement officers are still continuing to investigate the network of firearms and ammunition sellers.

"The team will continue to dig up information on sources of funds, remittance activities to buy weapons, and ammunition from the suspect Neson Murib", said Iqbal.
