Sad News From Sleman, 6 People Died Of COVID-19 During The Last 3 Days

JAKARTA - The Sleman Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Yogyakarta Region recorded a high positive case increase in the last three days from June 10 to 12, 2021 with the addition of daily cases of more than 150 cases.

"The number of additional daily positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sleman for the last three days is quite high, even above the 150 cases per day," said Sleman District COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Shavitri Nurmaladewi in Sleman, quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 13.

According to her, the recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in the three days was recorded below 100 cases.

"As for the cases of positive confirmed patients who died within three days, there were six people recorded", she said.

She said, for the addition of daily positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 on June 10, there were 178 cases, 60 patients recovered and four patients died.

"Then on June 11, there was an addition of 190 positive confirmed cases declared cured and one patient died. Meanwhile, for June 12, the daily addition of positive confirmed cases was 178 cases, 44 cases recovered and one patient died", she said.

Shavitri reminded that the number of cases of COVID-19 transmission in Sleman was still high, the Sleman Regent issued an instruction addressed to all panewu (sub-district heads) and the village head in the local area to form a village-level COVID-19 shelter.

"The Sleman Regent's instruction number 14/INSTR/2021 pays attention to the increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in Sleman Regency, which is still high, and the daily active cases that continue to increase, as well as the limited isolation capacity at the district-level COVID-19 Emergency Health Facilities (FKDC)", she said.

In addition to the sub-district and village heads, the instructions were also addressed to all heads of community health centers (Puskesmas) in Sleman Regency, hamlets, Head of the Citizens Association (RW), the Head of the Neighborhood Association (RT), as well as the community in the Sleman Regency area.

"The Sleman Regent asked all sub-districts to form a the village-level COVID-19 shelter, as an isolation and quarantine facility in an effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19, which is an integral part of the implementation of the Village-level COVID-19 Handling Post", she said.

Then, the sub-districts must coordinate and monitor the establishment and management of the village-level COVID-19 shelters in their respective areas.

"The implementation and management of the village-level COVID-19 shelters is assisted by the village administrator, Village Community Institutions, Community Empowerment Institutions, and other village partners, also assisted by Community Protection Unit (Satlinmas), Village Advisory Officer (Babinsa), Bhayangkara Advisor for Community Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas), community leaders, and other community members", she said.

As for financing the implementation of the COVID-19 shelter at the village level, the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget was used.

"The community can also participate in the operation and financing of the COVID-19 shelter. village-level", she said.

The management of the COVID-19 shelter at the village level includes, among others, buildings/buildings/houses used as shelters, supporting infrastructure, and logistics for residents and officers.
